Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity is a newer fraternity on UNCW’s campus.
While being recolonized in 2005, TKE is one of the most recognized and
respected organizations on campus. We strive to serve the school and
community with dedicated service and leadership. In only 4 years on the
campus, we have already won the Bradley Cup for the best Fraternity on
campus 2 times (2006-2007 & 2008-2009) and we have also been
awarded other honors such as excellence in Philanthropic Efforts as
well as our overall chapter development..
Our success is no
coincidence. We value developing and displaying leadership, scholarship
and brotherhood. T.K.E.
is a fraternity established in order to aid men in their mental, moral,
and social development throughout their lifetime.. In order to do just
that, Tau Kappa Epsilon finds it important to focus on building 6
standards within our bond of brothers which are: Scholarship,
Character, Leadership, Teamwork, Service, and Brotherhood, The only
fraternity founded prior to 1920 with no clause in their by-laws to
discriminate any potential member by race, sexual orientation, or
creed, we accept and celebrate diversity. Our members pride their
selves in being a diverse bond of brothers who are there for each other
and come together for the betterment of the UNCW Community as well as
Wilmington community alike.
“Since Joining TKE only last year, I
have grown so much. While coming to college, I had heard that
fraternity life may distract you from your education and career, and I
have found that TKE does the opposite. Since joining the brotherhood I
have met a great network of brothers who have helped me with
schoolwork, guided me with experience, provided me with many job
opportunities and etc. Joining T.K.E. was the best decision I have ever
made.” –Jacob Roed, MX 244 |
